The purpose of the Tampere Society for Associate Professors is to boost associate professors and their issues. 

The Tampere Society for Associate  Professors was established in the Tampere region in 1967. Among its primary goals are to promote the academic rights of associate  professors at Tampere University to teach and research at universities and promote professional values and standards for higher education. The society is organized and operated as a nonprofit educational organization and it is a member of the Union of Associate  Professors in Finland.
